Exactly one week ago my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years proposed to me. Yes… I am now ENGAGED! It has been such a whirlwind of a week and while we aren’t planning to get married until next year, I have already started planning. It is such a fun time! As I was searching for locations, photographers, wedding planners and dresses (just to name a few) I came across this photo of a Pakistan bride.
I adore the shade of pink she is wearing. In fact, we are thinking of getting married in March, so I think I want this bright pink for my colors. But after seeing this beautiful shot, I thought, why not just wear a hot pink wedding dress? I’m always trying to find new and different things that not everyone does… I think a hot pink wedding dress would certainly fall into that category.
Now, while a hot pink dress would stand out and be unique, I don’t think I can pull my southern self away from tradition that much. So instead, I will most likely wear hot pink heels with the white wedding dress, we’ll see. You can bet you will be seeing many more wedding references from me in the coming months.

I was chuckling about the bright pink wedding gown…while I am sure you can pull it off, I agree that bright pink shoes will serve it’s purpose well.

First of all – CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy this time – although hectic, no other time in your life will hold such lovely anticipation. That being said, I wanted to let you know that I wore pink in my wedding – not HOT pink, but pink nonetheless. I’ve always thought that Indian weddings are the most beautiful ones. I say go for it!
